As well as covering the structure of your home and fixtures and fittings, our buildings insurance also covers the cost of things like architects, surveyors and builders if you have to rebuild your home due to an insured risk. You are automatically covered for up to £1 million of building cover as standard (subject to eligibility) and the policy also covers your liability as a property owner up to a limit of £2 million.
Our contents insurance covers things like sofas and stereos, wardrobes and washing machines – all the things you would pack up and take with you if you moved house. Your contents in the garden are also covered up to £1,000 as well as your music and video downloads up to £3,000 (just keep your receipts). Home office equipment is also covered up to £5,000
The policy includes added cover for your contents when you need it most: We’ll increase your cover by 10% over Christmas and if someone in your house gets married we’ll give you an extra 10% cover for that too, four weeks before and after the big day, at no extra cost.
